I'm here!

I have arrived! I love everything about this place... minus the lack of friends & family.
It is beautiful, and lively and fun! As soon as I find my camera cord I can upload some pictures but for now here are some random facts and happenings...
Minneapolis really likes 90's music. Everywhere I go or drive it's like being at my 6th grade dance. There is only so much goo goo dolls and matchbox 20 a girl can take.
Snow is slippery. I had my first big spill the other night outside the grocery store. Ouch.
Cool bruise though.
Parking is expensive. Waking is easier. Even though it's REAL cold outside, it's way worth it to walk or take a $5 taxi ride vs. $20 parking and or sliding all over the road.
Subways here don't have mustard. Only mustard packets, which is super annoying.
If underground heated parking were a human, I would kiss it.
Seriously... it's my boyfriend.
When you can't get the cap off your syrup bottle, and you try for more than 20 minutes, it's ok to throw it in the sink, say a cussword ( or two) cry your eyeballs out...
and then stab it with scissors to get the syrup out.
Husbands are really great. Especially when they bring you home flowers, and candles that smell like home and take you out for dessert when you have a hard day.
That is it for now.
Minneapolis...out.

  1. ok, now with the coo bruise here is what you do...in the morines household, we take a sharpie pen and draw around the bruise making it into whatever cool animal comes to mind. always good for a laugh and feels like you also have a tatoo.
loved the visual of the syrup cap, cuss words and throwing it into the sink---we've all been there, even when we're not in a new home.
    thinking of you,
