With my Mama working at Southwest Airlines, it has been so nice that Courtney can just hop onto a plane anytime she wants to come and hang out.
She decided to come out for a weekend about a month ago
( note: the day she went back to CA was 3 days before we were coming there, she just wanted to come see us that bad.)
So we had decided to accept Brandon's new job the day before Courtney got there and so we decided to wait to tell her until she got there.
I wrote her a little poem and had her open it.
She freaked.

After the excitement wore off, I ( dragged) asked Courtney and Brandon to go to Rice Park with me. I had been dying to go since last winter since everyone talked about how pretty it is.
But being the responsible Father to be he is, Brandon wouldn't let me participate in the best part of the park, the outdoor ice rink. So he and Courtney entertained me.

She was majestic on the ice
I drank hot chocolate and documented the night
Then we enjoyed the 5 degree night and walked around until we couldn't feel our toes anymore.
This was 3 seconds before she fell in all the way to her hip.
I loved it and I am glad I got to go before we move back to sunny CA!
