Today was mothers day. I was a bit confused if I am allowed to partake in this celebration as of yet since I am not officially a mama, but in a lot of ways I am pretty darn close.
Either way, it was fun to celebrate my Mom and who she is to me. Which is a wonderful example of what a Mom needs to be. The world today is crazy. Full of Moms who would rather be their child's best friend than a parent, and the older I get and the closer to being in the Mom Club I am, the more I realize how important a balance of these two really is.
So here is to you Mom. Thank you for always being strong enough to stand up for what is right. For taking my crap even though I am sure it broke your heart to watch me stomp away and cry when it wasn't the outcome I wanted. For kissing all of my scraped knees and rubbing my back on nights where I puked. {Something I am REALLY not looking forward to}
I hope I am just as devoted, caring and amazing to Ethan as you have been to me. I am proud to be a "mean mom" in training.
And for the record, if all my friends were jumping off a cliff, at 16 I may have too, but I am way smarter than that now- thanks to you.
I love you, Happy Mothers Day <3
