Being Ethans' Mama.

This is my first legit Mothers Day.

Last Mothers Day I was enormous and very ready for a certain man baby to make his entrance.
( yikes.)

I can honestly say, one year into this whole motherhood thing, I am sold.

I love it all.

Every exhausting, trying, hard, funny, silly, messy part of motherhood. Count me in.

I was really inspired by this post from one of my favorite mama bloggers and wanted to do a version of my own for Mothers Day 2012 so here it goes.

Being Ethan Emersons Mama means...

Knowing he wants to walk everywhere on his own but still needs your hand. But please only hold his left hand otherwise he plops right down and will offer you his left hand.

Giving him at least 4 bites of whatever you're eating, even if he hates it and spits every bite out and promptly throws it to the ground.

Give him a drink of your water- no matter what.

Make sure you look back a few times when you're driving and clap your hands with the song, he loves that.

Before leaving the house make sure you have no less than 5 diapers, 3 different kinds of snack foods, and Ethans cell phone . He's got peeps to keep up with.

When you're at the park, take it slow into the sand. It's a delicate balance emotionally for Ethan.

If you are rocking him to sleep, rub the bridge of his nose and keep your hand on his cheek for instant fall asleep-ness.

When you enter his room after a nap, make sure you are on your game. Full silly mode- and whatever you do. Don't open the door too quick. It's a real mood buster.

If you ask for a kiss... be prepared. E is all about the open mouth, talk while you're kissing kisses.
He's a real man.

This Ethan Boy has stolen my heart.
Thanks for making me a Mama my love.

It's the best job in the world.
