Mothers Day this year was so relaxing and wonderful.
I really just wanted a low key day with not a lot of structure and lots of go with the flow. Normally I'm not like this but life sometimes feels too routine and too structured so I wanted this day to feel free.
Brandon is the best. He knows my love for sleeping and Starbucks and so being able to lay in bed until I wanted to get up was fab. Watching 3 Jimmy Fallon monologues, taking a long hot shower AND THEN having my favorite treat drink from Starbucks was a heavenly morning.
We had a tasty breakfast prepared by my man, I was spoiled with flowers and gifts and then we were off.
We ventured to a local park and it was incredible. I love finding new hidden gems. I could have wandered this place all afternoon ( had it not been 47 degrees and looking like rain)
It's so fun having Ethan be this age. He's such a little explorer and does pretty well at staying with us and just wandering.
I can't wait to experience all of the seasons of the Midwest. The Spring is always my favorite but it's so short lived!!
Thanks boys for a wonderful day. There are no other people I would choose to share it with.
( I would have loved to hug my Mama however and treat her to dinner...maybe next year! )

So glad you had this day! You deserve it ten times over! This place looks amazing!!
