The Pitt

Last week we followed B on one of his work trips.

I had never been to Pittsburgh and E & I were up for an adventure!
The drive was about 3 1/2 hours and E slept for 2 of them. ( Praises )

The first night was great, nice dinner at cheesecake, realized I forgot jeans so ran into Urban.
Enjoyed a little Voice on TV in the hotel...all good things.

The next day was torture.

E was so grumpy, and so was I.
Our room faced a train track and the trains ran all night- horns and all.

I tried to take E swimming, he whined and wouldn't go in.

I attempted the 7 minute drive to the children's museum and 45 minutes later, finally arrived.

Mix this all in with a wicked mix of PMS and hunger and E learned some new words on that car ride.

Once I found a frozen yogurt machine and crammed half a sandwich in my mouth I felt better.

The Museum was really fun, and so pretty.
Ethans mood improved significantly and mine did too. ( The food & midol helped )

And yes, we did get to see Mr. Rogers original sweater. It was a very cool moment.

We left there and headed out to meet B at a gorgeous Gondola that was just so fun.
At the top, we stumbled upon a teeny coffee shop where I enjoyed THE most delicious iced chai of my existence.
I think the barista said it had 9 ingredients, something about pumpkin pie spice, caramel, chai, vanilla, etc etc... Anyway.. gulped that baby down ASAP.

//This boy has my whole heart... even on the grumpiest of days. Being his Mama is the joy of my life. //

I had every intention of going and visiting the town of Castle Shannon...
and it just didn't happen. Next time!

After that we drove to downtown and ate a scrumptious dinner at The Patio
( huge shout out... If you're in PA// get there)

Ethans first obligatory food photo. He ate all of that grilled cheese.

We wandered all over and had a blast.

The next day E and I went to the Children's Festival downtown and it was so much fun.
So hot outside and so many children, but so fun. E even met some goats, so his day was made.

I couldn't wait to be home so we grabbed lunch and headed out.

E slept for 3 of the 3 1/2 hour drive home ( HUGE praises)

To recap. Pittsburgh is fun, PMS is not.

We will go back, probably. Maybe. We'll see.
