NYC is for lovers.

Brandon and I took a teeny lil trip to NYC for our 4th anniversary. It was the first time we left Ethan ( gulp ) and the first time we had been just us 2 on a vacation since before E was born.

It was v e r y needed and so great.

We only had half of Friday, Saturday and half of Sunday to see a very impressively long list of classic New York sights.

We met at the airport , seriously romantical, and taxi'd over to our hotel. I had waited my whole life to visit New York and I may have teared up just a bit of the sight of that big ol city.

As soon as we got there we started our journey! And that beginning was at Shake Shack. It was super delicious, but we much prefer In N Out.

We hopped on a double decker sight seeing bus ( which I highly recommend. Most of the things you want to just see in New York - you don't necessarily need to get out and walk around them)

We saw so much on Friday and then enjoyed a real tasty dinner at Trattoria Del Arté for our anniversary. It was so so good.

Saturday was jam packed and my feet were seriously tired but I loved every moment.

We did a whole bunch of stuff on our list- and a heck of a lot of eating. I finally enjoyed a magnolia cupcake. The frosting was to die for, but the cake was subpar. We had lunch at The Speckled Pig, and I loved the place but not really my food. We drank a lot of coffee and wandered so many gorgeous places. We saw the building where Monica, Chandler, Rachel and Joey live and I definitely was in FRIENDS heaven.

Sunday was so relaxing, bomb breakfast followed by a very sweaty bike ride through Central Park. We had some yummy drinks and headed for the airport.

Following a very stressful afternoon of flights being delayed and eventually cancelled, we ended up spending the night in Nashville! ( now added to our list of places to visit!)

It was so awesome to be away and just B & I but I couldn't wait to snuggle my little man.
