thirty five weeks & a mission

April 5th marks 35 weeks... just 5 short weeks ( give or take a few days...) until we meet our beloved little man!

We have been taking the weekends and purposefully making plans to have no plans because we know that soon a tiny person will control a lot of what we do and when we do it.

So this Sunday after a great message at church, B decided he would like to
drive Ortega Canyon, which I had never done.
It was a perfect day for it!
Drove.
Stopped.
Ate candy.

On our way out of the canyon we saw a horse show taking place... so naturally- we pulled in.

We watched about 3 horses jump and decided ( since our candy was gone) that it was time to go.

So we drove and while trying to find a gas station I mentioned I had never been
to The Mission in San Juan.
B was shocked. Like I had missed out on this great childhood experience.
So we stopped.
I gasped at the $9 entrance fee.. threw a tantrum in my head then a sweet old man gave us free tickets.
Note to self: mental tantrums work.

We toured all throughout the mission.. fountains... adobes etc. It was great.
I did want fajitas and tortillas after we left though.

My little top heavy self trudged around and after a few flights of stairs,
I decided it was time for a starbucks.

So we left the mission, walked San Juan.. found new and great places for date nights.
Picked up a little something at an antique mall and went home.

We are soaking up every moment of "free time" we can get!

{Although at many times, we caught ourselves saying, "we can't wait to bring E here..."}

  1. This sounds like the perfect day!! I can't believe it's only five more weeks!! Ahh so excited! I went in to this cute store today called MossEnvy. They had everything green and recycled and non-toxic items, loved it. Even picked up a Life Factory glass water bottle and saw the cutest mini-baby bottles!

    Miss you!
